About Us
The Association of the Nanotechnology Industry of the Czech Republic was founded on 27 November 2014. It brings together Czech companies from a wide range of sectors — from the textile industry through biotechnology, environmental applications and optics to energy — whose core business activity is nanotechnology.
For some of these companies this means applying nanotechnology processes in manufacturing, while for others it involves the development and production of finished products made from nanomaterials, or their application.
Our Goals
The Association’s aim is to represent the interests of Czech nanotechnology companies and research in this field at both national and global level, across the commercial, research and educational spheres.
It builds on the strong reputation Czechia enjoys in this field worldwide and works to spread positive awareness of nanotechnology throughout society. A recent example worth mentioning is the article on Czechcrunch about the future of Czech nanotechnology.
It also focuses on actively seeking support and opportunities for collaboration between the commercial and research spheres.
Strategic Partnerships
The Association is a partner of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, government ministries and other state institutions in shaping the country’s economic strategy.
It also takes an active part in economic diplomacy projects aimed at presenting Czech nanotechnology companies abroad.
The goal is to portray the Czech Republic as one of the world’s incubators of nanotechnology — a country that ranks among the global leaders, particularly in the application of nanotechnology in industry and consumer products. Successful events have already taken place in countries such as the USA, Israel, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Russian Federation and Austria.

It oversees the performance of the Executive Board
Members of the Supervisory Board are entitled to inspect all documents and records relating to the organisation’s activities, and they verify that accounting records are kept properly and that the activities carried out comply with the law and the statutes.
