Nanotechnology for Georgia
In its development plans, Georgia places particular emphasis on the sustainable use of natural resources. (Analysis of the country’s needs)
- Population: 3,723,538
- Capital: Tbilisi
- Country classification according to OECD/DAC by GNI per capita: lower middle-income country
How we can help
An overview of the smart city technologies that are most relevant for Georgia. You can find a complete overview of Czech nanotechnologies for smart cities here.
Water filtration
Water purification (FN AQUA)
FN AQUA, a special suspension for water filtration that uses purely physical phenomena to remove molecules and microscopic particles of organic impurities and microorganisms.
Pool filters (ASTRAL POOL)
Nanofibre cartridge filters eliminate the need to purchase costly and space-consuming sand or other types of filtration.
Tap water filtration (CLUTEX)
The Clutex Filter device filters out not only microplastics but also rust, limescale and other inorganic impurities originating from the water pipes.
Energy storage and saving
Nano batteries (HE3DA)
Batteries for the safe storage of large volumes of electrical energy.
Nano optics (NANOPTIQS)
A special treatment of light fittings that makes it possible to direct light from the source in any direction, at any angle and with any beam cone. This dramatically increases lighting efficiency.
Industry and waste
Industrial filtration of oils and other liquids
Nanofibre membranes are a highly suitable medium for the mechanical filtration of liquids in the production of oils, spirits, beer, wine and other beverages.
Consumption and emissions
Reducing fuel consumption (Envirox)
Nanofibre membranes are a highly suitable medium for the mechanical filtration of liquids in the production of oils, spirits, beer, wine and other beverages.
Home and office
Anti-allergy bedding (nanoSPACE)
Bedding for people allergic to dust mites, featuring a nanomembrane that prevents the spread of allergens. The most effective breathable barrier against the spread of allergens produced by mites in mattresses, pillows and duvets. The opening in the nanomembrane is roughly ten times smaller than the allergen a mite produces. This is why the allergen cannot pass through the membrane to the allergy sufferer.
Surface protection (Nanotrade)
A range of nanotechnology products for the protection of all surfaces in the home and office.
Help during the pandemic
Czech nanotechnology companies produce face masks, respirators and mask filters made of nanofibre. These protective products offer excellent capture of particles measuring 80–200 nm, which corresponds to the average size of a virus.
Nano face masks
Face masks with nanofibre for effective protection.
Nanofilters
Nano filters for face masks, specially developed against coronaviruses.
Nano respirators
Respirators with nanofibre for effective protection.
Nano masks
Protective half-face respirators with nanofilters.
