Nano-sized zinc oxide, available as a powder or as ready-to-use products (e.g. long-term stable suspensions). It is used as a functional additive in coatings, varnishes, sunscreens, plastics and similar products, in order to extend their service life and enhance their effectiveness (for example the protection factor) of the given product.
MEFTEX = MEtallized Fine/Functional/Flexible TEXtile
Copper-metallised, lightweight, breathable, flexible textiles. This is a composite material consisting of a textile substrate and a thin layer of metal, primarily copper. The material retains the textile properties of the original carrier fabric, yet thanks to the deposited thin metal layer it gains new functional properties such as electromagnetic shielding, conductivity (thermal/electrical), thermal reflectivity and more. This material finds a wide range of applications, for example in electronics, automotive, aerospace, construction, the packaging industry, specialist clothing and protective equipment, sensor technology, and in products for personal safety and protection against harmful external influences such as electrosmog.
