Bavarian-Czech Nanotechnology Centre
A cross-border project under the Interreg Bavaria–Czechia 2021–2027 programme (project no. BYCZ10-275) connecting Czech and Bavarian companies, research organisations and institutions in the field of nanotechnology.
The lead partner is the Bavarian network Nanonetz Bayern e.V.; the Czech partner is the Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and by the state budget of the Czech Republic.

About the project
The aim of the project is to build a strong cross-border network linking science, the economy and policy, and to strengthen cooperation between Czech and Bavarian companies, research organisations and institutions active in nanotechnology, advanced materials and related technological fields.
Its ambition is to create a long-term, sustainable platform for sharing know-how, supporting innovation, technology transfer and the formation of new business and research partnerships. It offers stakeholders on both sides of the border greater visibility, new opportunities to exchange experience and tangible opportunities for collaboration.
Project activities
- two regional contact points in the Czech-Bavarian border region – at the European Centre for Dispersion Technologies (EZD) in Selb and at nanoSPACE in Domažlice – serving as starting points for professional events, meetings and networking,
- regular informal meetings and thematic specialist workshops on both sides of the border,
- networking events and joint partner meetings,
- a bilingual virtual platform for exchanging information and experience,
- support for technology transfer and for connecting research institutions with industry.
