Following international recognition at the INTARG trade fair in Poland, SKI365 has taken home yet another prestigious accolade, this time from the INVENT inventions and innovations exhibition in Třinec, Czech Republic. We are proud to report two triumphs: a gold medal for the SKI365 Year-Round Skiing Surface and a silver medal for the unique SKI365 cross-country skiing trainer.

SKI365 at INVENT:

• We presented a dedicated test track for cross-country skiers that allowed visitors to try cross-country skiing even outside the snow season.
• We showcased SKI365 ski-trainer technology and surfaces for year-round skiing.
• We shared videos from outdoor events we have run, the SKI365 Arena in Brno and exhibitions in Innsbruck and Birmingham.

Our stand attracted considerable interest

Children and adults alike enthusiastically gave summer cross-country skiing a go. We reached out to ski-resort operators looking for innovative technologies for their facilities. We caught the attention of ski clubs, sports centres, municipal sports organisations and schools wishing to expand their offering with year-round skiing or seeking an alternative for ski courses during unfavourable winter conditions.

So what makes our technology unique? 

The special gliding surface is made so that the fibres, all oriented in one direction, deliver a better glide. This is advantageous not only for skis and snowboards, but most of all for cross-country and ski-touring skis, because in the opposite direction the surface provides a better push-off. The fibres are modified with a special nanotechnology-based modifier. This extends the surface’s service life and improves both its glide and its abrasion resistance to mechanical stress, particularly from the edges of skis and snowboards. It also eliminates the need to wax the bases. The technology of the surface and the trainer is protected by utility models.
