In recent years, the cosmetics industry has been undergoing a tremendous revolution thanks to nanotechnology. This advanced science makes it possible to use miniature particles to produce more environmentally friendly, more economical and, above all, more effective cosmetic products.
Back in the days of the Roman Empire in antiquity, women already used various creams, soaps and oils to beautify themselves and preserve a fresh, youthful appearance. In this respect, not much has actually changed. Even today women want to be beautiful and attractive. It is only the enormous range of cosmetic products here in Italy that can no longer be compared with ancient Rome at all. Is it possible to come up with something new? In the Czech Republic, we have a clear answer to that.
Cosmetica Italia
Nanofibre is the key element for a new generation of cosmetics free from preservatives, problematic chemicals and allergens. The Czech Republic is a land of nanofibres and Italy ranks among the world leaders in cosmetics. By combining the Italian cosmetics industry with Czech nanotechnology, it is possible to create an innovative platform of international reach. That is why we at the Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association joined forces with Cosmetica Italia and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Milan and, under the patronage of Alena Šeredová, organised a joint seminar. Its aim was to introduce world-renowned Italian cosmetics companies to the very best cosmetic innovations, which are being created right here in the Czech Republic.

Nanotechnology solves the problem of cosmetic effectiveness
The main problem with cosmetic products is not a lack of knowledge about active ingredients; today we know very well what works on wrinkles or pigmentation spots. The problem, however, is that conventional products are unable to deliver these active ingredients into the skin very effectively. Traditional creams and serums often cannot penetrate deep into the skin, which limits their effectiveness. Nanotechnology solves this problem by enabling almost 100% effective delivery of active substances into the deeper layers of the skin.
Dry nanofibre masks and patches made solely from active ingredients
One of the breakthrough products in the cosmetics industry is the dry nanofibre mask. These masks use ultra-thin nanofibres made solely from active ingredients such as vitamin C, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. They contain no preservatives, silicones or parabens whatsoever — only active ingredients. Thanks to their structure and size, the nanofibres allow maximum absorption of these substances into the skin. You simply moisten the skin of your face with water and apply a mask made of nanofibre membrane to it. On the Czech market we have, for example, under-eye nanofibre masks that can smooth away up to 75% of fine wrinkles after use, just 48 hours after application.
Tyto látky účinně likvidují kožní mykózu a brání jejímu návratu.
Nanotechnology in cosmetics represents the future. The Czech Republic has become a pioneer in this field, above all in the manufacture and development of nanofibre cosmetic products. Together with our Italian partners, we can thus connect the cosmetic tradition of ancient Rome with Czech nanofibres.
