Prague, 21 April 2026 – The Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association (ANP ČR) is pleased to announce that the Czech nanotechnology sector has gained significant representation in the highest body of the Czech Academy of Sciences. At the 67th session of the Academic Assembly of the Czech Academy of Sciences, held on 14 April 2026 in Prague, Ing. Jan Procházka, Ph.D. was elected as a new member.

A bridge between science and industry

Jan Procházka was elected in the category of representatives of industry, business circles and banks for the 2026–2030 term of office. His election confirms the growing importance of innovative technologies and the need for close ties between academia and the commercial application of research findings.

Within the Academic Assembly, Dr Procházka will represent not only the company Advanced Materials-JTJ s.r.o., which stood behind his nomination, but also his extensive experience from the companies FN-NANO s.r.o. and HE3DA s.r.o., where he serves as managing director.

Representation for the Czech nano association

For our association, this event is all the more significant given that Jan Procházka holds the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association.

“We regard the election of Jan Procházka to the Academic Assembly as a prestigious recognition of his lifelong work in applied nanotechnology. The association thus gains a direct voice in the body that decides the direction of Czech science, which is crucial for the further development of technology transfer into practice.”
