Nano coatings reduced bacteria almost tenfold in just 40 minutes

In just 40 minutes, nano coatings managed to reduce the number of bacteria in a contaminated environment almost tenfold. Mould was cut by half, and all of this thanks solely to the energy of sunlight passing through the windows.

On 16 February 2022, the Technical University of Liberec (Faculty of Mechatronics, Informatics and Interdisciplinary Studies) carried out testing of microbiological contamination in the indoor office environment of FN-NANO s.r.o. a Advanced Materials-JTJ s.r.o.

Sample collection was carried out specifically in the meeting room, where several meetings are held every day. Photocatalytic FN NANO® nano coatings have been applied to both the ceilings and the walls throughout all of the office spaces, and they have been in place for more than a year now.

We are very pleased with the test result: a VERY LOW LEVEL OF CONTAMINATION by bacteria and a LOW LEVEL OF CONTAMINATION by mould inside the meeting room. The measurement was carried out in accordance with the internationally recognised standards ČSN ISO 4833 and ČSN ISO 7954, and with Decree No. 6/2003 Coll., which sets the hygiene limits for chemical, physical and biological indicators for the indoor environment of occupied rooms in certain buildings.

This is a truly excellent result and clear evidence that this 21st-century technology has enormous potential for the safety and protection of people in indoor spaces.

The press release was issued by FN-NANO s.r.o.
